Since 2008, the League has doubled in student athlete participation each year. In 2013, 3,400 participants represented 114 teams and 215 schools. For 2014, the League expects more than 5,000 participants and 160 teams. With this kind of growth, the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League will continue its reign as Minnesota’s fastest-growing high school sport.

Girl’s Lacrosse – 42% increase
Boys Lacrosse – 37% increase
Girls Cross Country – 27% increase
Dance – 23% increase
Boys Nordic Skiing – 23% increase
Girls Nordic Skiing – 20% increase
Girls Tennis – 14% increase
Girls Hockey – 14% increase
Girls Golf – 10% increase
Decreased Participation
Cheerleading – 27% decrease
Boys Baseball – 7% decrease
Boys Golf – 5% decrease
Boys Football – 3% decrease
Boys Wrestling – 3% decrease
